Responsible for the strategic planning, development, and profitability of a division devoted to an entire range of live speaking engagements for the best-selling author of Ageless Body, Timeless Mind, Deepak Chopra, MD.

Within eight months reduced operational and marketing expenses by two-thirds and tripled attendance at seminars. As a result, these events ascended from significant loss makers to highly profitable independent events.

Primary achievements include:

Strategic Alliances -- Achieved national awareness for, and attendance at, our seminars by developing key partnerships with major corporations, audio and video publishing giants, celebrities, Random House Publishing, and nationally affiliated adult education corporations.

Integrated Marketing -- Through in depth database development, orchestrated integrated marketing campaigns that relied on precise demographics and psychographics, direct marketing, in house telemarketing management, development of local promoters, and leverage of alliances.

Involved in every aspect of strategic marketing and product packaging at this $800,000,000 company which markets and administers managed benefit plans and risk management services throughout the US and abroad. Primary responsibilities included:

Direct Marketing -- Implemented multi-step direct marketing strategy which increased response rate nearly 600%. Strategy included ongoing market research, database segmentation and management, list research and procurement, art direction, precise telemarketing and direct mail testing.

Advertising -- Created in house ad agency and direct marketing department, realizing millions in savings for company. Implemented in house electronic publishing, streamlining production process and minimizing expense. Created national advertising campaigns which won awards from insurance and business-to-business marketing organizations annually.

Corporate Imaging -- Redesigned logo and company image to accurately reflect corporate direction and strategic initiatives. Developed and built national "brand-awareness" through consistent marketing strategy and collateral management.

Event Management -- Responsible for site selection, travel, agenda design and all details of sales conferences, trade shows, press events, customer events.

Market Research/Product Development and Management Created market research and product development function which analyzed data, conducted in depth market research both qualitative and quantitative, and developed new markets and products. Developed strategies to promote product sales through direct mail efforts, enrollment material and follow up surveys to assess effectiveness of existing products and communications.

Directed eight-member marketing and communications staff to successfully design direct marketing and collateral materials that were targeted to sell the company's portfolio of managed care products throughout the United States.

Directed all writing, graphic design, printing and production of ongoing projects.

Coordinated all public relations and advertising activity for entire five-state region.

Communications Consultant, PruCare Corporate Marketing Roseland, NJ

Managed all aspects of the national advertising campaign for The Prudential's managed health care systems.

Worked with company's advertising agency to have campaign components reflect changing product emphasis and state-by-state regulatory demands.

Closely involved in developing and employing marketing strategy for launch of 22 PruCare locations throughout the country.

Coordinated all media relations surrounding medical research published by Beth Israel medical associates.

Wrote, edited, designed and produced all marketing materials as well as the Beth Israel Examiner, this major Harvard-teaching hospital's eight-page monthly publication for its 4000 employees.
